Project Manager (Heritage Consultancy)
Fiona is an established heritage professional with over a decade’s experience in Heritage & Planning Consultancy, and is currently undertaking doctoral research at the University of Nottingham. Over the course of her 12 year career in commercial archaeology, Fiona has developed an extensive skill set in heritage management and planning, to include expertise in historic environment impact assessment and EIA, setting assessment, town and landscape characterisation and rapid site and building survey, and project managed and informed a diverse range of development schemes including residential, commercial and utilities, professional development training courses for non-heritage professionals (e.g. Historic England’s HELM and Essentials programmes), and community heritage survey projects (e.g. DerwentWISE Heritage at Risk).
Fiona is currently managing and delivering on the heritage assessment phases of the Derby Silk Mill redevelopment project, the River Thames Flood Alleviation Setting Assessment, elements of the Trent Gateway rejuvenation scheme, and various heritage assessments for residential and industrial schemes across the UK.
